Lookweep Farm Self Catering Cottages are on the south-eastern edge of Dartmoor National Park and have stunning views of cornfields, meadows with cows and horses grazing, woodlands and hedgerows. Hear the birds singing, watch the deer glide gracefully across fields, watch a friendly pheasant passing the door. Haytor, the most famous Dartmoor Tor situated in one of the most spectacular and beautiful parts of the open moor is only four miles away. Tranquil but plenty to do within easy reach. Castles, abbeys, zoo, waterfalls, river valleys, coastal resorts, animal parks, leisure parks, steam railways, craft centres, glass and pottery makers, angling, golf, bridle and foot paths right on the doorstep.

Shippen Cottage
Shippen cottage Sleeps up to 5 in two bedrooms. Enter through the courtyard entrance and pass some lovely old fashioned roses near the door. The double glazed door takes you into an open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area on the ground floor with four steps up to a small inner hall. From this there is access to the double bedroom, shower room and an airing cupboard. The family room, which can sleep up to three people in single beds is off the sitting room on the ground floor. All rooms are full of character with oak features and vaulted ceilings. There is access from the sitting room to the cottage's own private garden planted with herbs and large shrubs and leads directly into the parking area, very handy for loading and unloading the car.

Fitted kitchen with modern appliances, electric cooker, washer/drier, microwave oven. Colour Television and video, night storage heating, private garden with table, chairs, rotary clothes line. Shaver point, cots and high chair provided.
Sympathetically converted from traditional stone and cob farm buildings the two cottages are well equipped with plenty of character being timbered with vaulted ceilings, the double glazed doors open into pretty gardens with beautiful views across open fields and woodlands. Guests have use of a heated swimming pool from May September. Both cottages are open all year and sleep up to 5 persons.

Dairy Cottage
Sleeps up to 5 in two bedrooms. From the pretty ground floor sitting room with its comfortable furnishings, wood effect stove, timbers and vaulted ceiling, four stone steps lead to a balconied, well equipped dining/kitchen area with a hall off. This spacious inner hall gives access to the airing cupboard, shower room. Double bedroom and family room which can sleep up to three persons in single beds. From the family room double glazed patio doors open onto a balcony which was formerly the milk churn stand, walk out of the bedroom and smell the fragrance of sweet peas, clematis and jasmine. There is access from the lounge to the cottage's own pretty garden planted with herbs, shrubs, a horse chestnut tree and has roses around the door. We allow dogs, as we have a safe enclosed environment, well away from a road.

Swimming Pool
There is a heated swimming pool which measures approx. 12 feet by 30 feet maximum depth is 4 feet. It is normally open from May to mid-September weather permitting. Many interesting shrubs and plants are in the gardens surrounding the pool.
