Newcott Farm Cottages are set in beautiful peaceful countryside within the Dartmoor National Park. The 4* self catering accommodation is in two cottages. Dartmoor scenery all around and only a five minute walk from open moorland, granite tors or in the Dart Valley. Our Llamas and Alpacas graze peacefully in the fields nearby. A traditional Dartmoor pub is within easy walking distance.

We are moments away from open moorland with stunning scenery, wild open spaces of Dartmoor National Park not forgetting river valleys, granite tors and much more. Newcott farm Cottages may not be what you would expect a Dartmoor cottage to be, The building was constructed in the late 1990’s as a workshop for Dartmoor Carriages. The buildings were converted into two holiday cottages designed with accessibility in mind.

Newcott farm cottages are light and airy, comfortably furnished with a mix of contemporary and traditional furnishings, well equipped kitchens and fantastic views over farmland and moor which can be enjoyed out off the large double glazed windows.

Many people beat a path to our cottages just to enjoy our cute and cuddly Alpacas and Llamas. As part of your holiday you can visit the animals in their paddocks or book a Llama walk on the Moor.

The cottages are set in a fantastic location near in the small village of Poundsgate it is surrounded by traditional Dartmoor buildings including thatch cottages. There is a thriving pub in the village which serves good food and local ales.

The famous village of Widecombe-in-the-moor is just a few miles away which has a bigger range of pubs, cafes and shops. Widecombe has a farmers market once a month selling a large range of local produce and crafts.

A little further away you can find the towns of Ashburton and Bovey Tracey which will provide you with a wide range of little shops including supermaket, deli’s, bakery, butchers and many antique shops along with a good range of eating establishments.
